Ayurveda is an all encompassing medical system which continues to be used today in India. Ayurvedic Treatments include the use of herbs, detoxifying treatments (panchakarma), yoga, and a vast array of tools and techniques…training to become an Ayurvedic doctor takes 7 years!
Ayurvedic Massage is a rejuvenating form of oil massage, used throughout centuries in India. This massage is conducted using soothing warm sesame oil, suitable for all doshas. Abhyanga (Ayurvedic oil massage) is great for stress, pain relief, and eliminating toxins. Ayurveda encompasses the principles of chakras and energy centres in the body. As such these treatments are designed to release blockages in the flow of energy within and around us. In India it is used as a form of preventative medicine to maintain health and also as part of a panchakarma (detoxification and rejuvenation) programme to restore health.
Clients often comment how the Ayurvedic massage is a much more thorough and complete treatment than regular Western style massage. The techniques used are more varied and whilst working on the physical body there is also an emphasis on clearing energy from and around the body.
Brilliant, Mary really knew where to put pressure to ease the tension, especially round my neck, it was great, feel much more relaxed now.

I just feel like it totally de-stressed me, I feel like the tension’s just gone, the ultimate de-stresser. It’s amazing to have an hour of someone spending time just on me. I’ve got to do this more often!
